Emily Aslanyan
Born and raised in New York, Emily has cultivated a multifaceted career as a Dancer, Choreographer, and Artist since the age of 3. She is renowned for her dynamic expression across various mediums, including dance, painting, acting, and design. Emily has collaborated with esteemed choreographers nationwide and performed at prestigious venues such as the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Times Square, Choreographer’s Carnival, and Club Jete.
Studying Creative Direction and Art at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, Emily immersed herself in the city’s vibrant creative scene, refining her skills and fostering a passion for innovation. Following her education, she advanced to the first round of auditions for “So You Think You Can Dance,” in which she dreamt of since auditioning at the age of 10. Upon returning to New York after her studies in LA, Emily pursued an internship at Donna Karan, where she delved into the world of fashion. This experience complemented her artistic pursuits, allowing her to make a significant impact both as a performer and a mentor in the artistic community.
For the past 7 years, Emily has shared her expertise in dance with students of all ages, specializing in contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, acrobatics, ballet, and lyrical styles. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes rhythmic exploration through music, inspiring her students to not only develop their artistic abilities but also nurture their creative spirits. Alongside, Emily’s painting classes for children of all ages serve as a platform for them to unleash their imagination. Emily continues to push the boundaries of artistic expression, bringing innovation and passion to every facet of her career.
