Our award-winning founder and Creative Director, Nuné Arsenyan, has a Conservatory master’s degree in piano performance and pedagogy, and has proudly taught piano to over 150 children from all around the world. Living in Midtown East, the most demanding, fast-paced, and ever-evolving area of Manhattan, Above the Notes was born from a dream to create a space where all forms of art can come together under one roof . Our founder and Creative Director, Nuné Arsenyan, envisioned an academy where students could receive high-quality education in music, visual arts, dance, and drama, all while fostering a collaborative and creative community.

Above The Notes is the manifestation of her mission to open a Music & Collaborative Arts Academy that focuses on helping students discover their own individual talents, develop technical excellence and have access to multiple creative disciplines that would encourage lifelong appreciation, learning, and growth in the arts.
